Good Books To Read

Are you looking for good books to read? Please look no further. I am absolutely thrilled that you have found my website. I hope that you will enjoy My Book Recommendations. Most recommendations are for non fiction books, but not exclusively. While I do enjoy travel literature, history, adventure travel and biographies I also keep my eye out for good fiction as well.

My hope is that I can help you find something to read that you may not readily come across elsewhere. I am a voracious reader and my aim is to help you find your next must read book. I have read all of the books here and they are all ones which I rate a minimum of 4 out of 5 stars. I also check my ratings against those on a couple of sites like Amazon just to make sure that I am not “out to lunch”.

Books to read before You Die

“Always read something that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it,” so wrote journalist and satirist P.J. O’Rourke. As a lover of reading, you know that there are many books to read before you die. Books that have stood the test of time, history books, biographies and memoirs of influential people.

As well as great novels, other books to read before you die include biographies of world leaders, military figures, literature by and about adventurers and explorers, social activists, ground breaking scientists, artists and actors, the list goes on.
